Antique Waltham Riverside 14K Gold Fancy Case Open Face 17 Jewel Watch Running. This beautiful 14K yellow gold Waltham watch is in crisp and excellent condition and is very elaborately engraved on the back and sides of the case as well as the bezel. Dating to circa 1910 (please see full details below) and in running condition, the watch has a clean, bright white dial with nicely stylized black Arabic hour numbers, small red minute numbers, a sub-second hand and strikingly textural engraving patterns on the bezel and case-side. The back has a finely engraved foliate pattern around a fancy, three-letter monogram on the outside of the cover, A. 14K 174536″ on the inside of the cover, a dust cover with, “From Grandma, Nov. 4, 1915″ engraved on the outside and “174536″ on the inside, and a movement engraved with “A. 17 Jewels, ” “Riverside” and the serial number “18013274. In excellent condition, the watch runs without stopping but hasn’t been tested for long-term accuracy, measures 1 3/8 x 1 15/16-inches overall and weighs 35.5 grams.
