Heavy attractive 6 Size Multicolored Case With mine cut Diamond. A very attractive Elgin Hunter Case Pocket Watch. A very nice condition multicolored ladies 6 size Elgin Pocket Watch. Case has nice multi color that is still very sharp in multiple colors of raised gold on case. Case has a fairly good-sized I believe mine cut diamond on the back. Case is a 20 year Philadelphia Watch case company case and opens and closes well case has no brass and is in nice shape. Movement is a 15 Jewel Elgin that runs great but does not want to set so will need some servicing. Nice porcelain dial has a faint hairline. Nicely Damaskeening Nickel Movement. We only sell 100% AUTHENTIC items. In this listing we are happy to present this truly wonderful Swiss (Unmarked) Platinum High Grade Ultra Thin Pocket Watch with diamonds fully adorning the case and bow. Most likely this watch was made by Henry Capt or Haas Neveux. In the 1910s, ther were very few watch movement manufacturers that were capable of making high grade ultra thin movements and Henry Capt or Haas Neveus were two of the best. With the case and crystal intact this watch is slightly under 6cm in terms of thickness. As can be seen from the quality of the movement with extra fine winding wheels, capped escapement, large ruby jewels etc. This was a very expensive watch over 100 years ago with a diamond-encrusted platinum case. The platinum case has PUR wording which means pure, thus the case has more than 90% platinum and probably more in the 95% purity range. To put luxury over-the-top, the entire case band and bow (also hallmarked platinum) has been fully encrusted with old mine cut diamonds. Condition-wise the watch runs well but we cannot guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity as we don’t know its service history. Antique pocket watches like this specimen will likely need full service to run normally, it is the sole decision and responsibility of end-user to service or not. We will not accept return based on claim of functional issues. Cosmetically the watch is in great shape with no major faults or problems. Total weight is 41.3 grams.
