This is an excellent antique Hamilton 16 size 21 jewel adjusted 992B pocket watch in a 10k gold filled Wadsworth bar over crown case out of an estate! The lever-set movement is in nice condition and is marked: Hamilton Watch Co. 992B 21 Jewels Adj. And 6 Positions C110683. The single sunk dial is marked: Hamilton. The dial has small cracks – see photos. The watch will currently wind/set properly, and will run when wound. The case has light scratches, and some areas of wear through on the gold filled. Inside the case back is marked: Wadsworth Quality 10 Karat Gold Filled PAT. We do not know the service history on this watch, and recommend it be serviced to keep running and keep time. This is a very nice Hamilton 992 16 size 21j railroad with a 14K white gold filled Wadsworth bar over crown case adj. 5 positions with a beautiful double sunk porcelain Montgomery dial. The dial shows two hairlines radiating from the center post. One between the 10 & 11 and the other down to the 60 in the seconds bit. There is a very tiny repair just above the 7 at the juncture of the seconds bit and the center sunk portion. The movement is very clean with no signs of abuse. It is running and sets fine. The case is a Wadsworth 14K white gold filled case with the very desirable bar over crown styling. It shows only light wear on the bow and adjoining frame. The tube likewise shows wear thru from rubbing on the crown. Overall the case is very good with a couple of very tiny nicks on the back cover that are barely noticeable. The glass crystal appears to be in new condition. The watch is in very nice condition and running fine. I don’t know when it was last serviced so no guarantee to accuracy or extended run time. This is a very nice vintage Hamilton railroad watch from a local estate. The movement is a 16 size model 992, stem wind, lever set, 21 jewels, gold center wheel. The movement is marked 992, and also ELINVAR on the pallet bridge. The movement runs strong and is in excellent condition. It has clean plates, full gold lettering, and the screw heads are clean and not damaged. I have not had this piece cleaned or serviced, so I cannot guarantee it to be a perfectly reliable timekeeper. The porcelain dial has bold black numbers, and is excellent. It has no hairlines and no chips. A truly great and desirable dial. Blued steel hands (hands show some wear). The case is 2-tone, with a yellow gold filled center, and silver metal bezel and case back. The case back is marked Wadsworth, and also with a Hamilton serial numbers (starts with H). The case is in excellent condition, with no dents or damage, and no engraving. 16 size 21 jewel open face lever-set Grade 992B pocketwatch. Very nice looking example of this high grade railroad watch fronted by a double-sunk enamel “Hamilton Railway Special” dial and housed in a Hamilton Model 10 Bar-Over-Crown case that is marked “Hamilton Railroad” on the crown. Movement serial number is C34039. Running but balance motion is sluggish and I think likely movement hasn’t seen a cleaning and oiling in some time. Very nice looking movement with excellent color and luster with the exception of the balance cock screw which has surface rust and also a small amount of corrosion on the regulator spring. Dial faces up well but has a small edge chip at the lever-set position. Case is very strong with an excellent in hand look and feel.
