Beautiful and rare early unsigned 1800′s small French ladies key wind fuzee chain drive verge escapement pocket watch. Case: closed cover blue enamel surrounded with pearls gold pocket watch. Karat gold is generally not marked during this time period. Most likely 16k – 18k. Inside case back serial 13251 is present. Case diameter 31.5 millimeters (very small for the time period). Very nice white enamel dial – key wind through dial. Only small minor surface chips around winding keyhole. Fuzee key wind movement does tick. An exceptionally clean, Lesser see, Railroad grade Elgin… The 19 jewel grade 371 was produced only for a short time… The mainspring barrel has a very large jewel in gold setting to make it 19 jewels.. The rest of the screw down jewel settings are also gold… Main wheel is gold too.. The movement plates are very nice, no spots and no visible service marks… Highly polished screw heads that are factory original.. Compensated Balance runs very true and has good motion.. Plates are marked B. Raymond and Adjusted to 5 positions… Watch is stem wind and lever-set, with the Odd lever, for a hunting case, at the 2 O clock. Only one ever made that way…. The white enamel dial is perfect. Bold Arabic numerals and a correct factory hand set.. The 25 year gold filled case is excellent… Hardly any wear showing… Front cover opens smartly to 90 degrees. Hinges are firm on all 2 covers.. Nice French style bow…. The front bezel is fitted with a glass crystal… Winding and setting functions are as they should be, smooth… Watch keeps great time.. Only the “BE SE METAL” notation does not have any markings such as 10K or 14K. It is in good condition and shines in gold. This is a beautiful and scarce Hamilton 940 SPECIAL 21 jewels lever set 18 size gold tone trim and fancy damaskeening. Featured in a very clean display case with good crystals and tight bow. The double sunk porcelain dial is in very good condition with some edge chipping along the 10 & 11 as shown in the photo. The movement is likewise in outstanding condition and is running and keeping very good time. The watch winds, sets, and runs as it should. This is a one star watch with a serial # 463307 ca. Special Railway 23J HC. 18 size 23 jewel hunting case lever-set Special Railway pocket watch movement/dial/hands. Beautiful high grade movement with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, and a spectacular 2-tone gold and nickel damaskeen finish along with gold flashed movement screws. Fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial with script signature. Serial number is 1447281. Running and a very nice looking movement with excellent 2-tone color. Balance jewel setting is a brass replacement. One case screw is missing fully half its head and should be replaced. Dial has some fractures to the left of its center hole, two hairlines below its seconds-register, and a few mild small edge flakes. For sale is this beautiful near mint17 jewel Vacheron+Constantin full hunter pocket watch in a heavy 25 year 14ct gold filled case by J. Boss Keystone Watch Case Co. This Rare watch was made for and retailed by the Wetteroth Jewelery Co of St Joseph Mo. It has their name on the dial and movement. The watch is in excellent condition and in perfect working order, it winds by the crown and is lever set. The movement is also signed Vacheron Constantin Geneve with number 343209. Excellent full Arabic numeral enamel dial with seconds subsidiary dial, and has five minute marker numbers above the hours. Lovely set of blue steel Breguet moon hands. Superb gold filled full hunter case by J Boss Keystone Watch Co guaranteed 25 years. The diameter size is 51mm and 69mm if you include the bow. The hinges and covers are strong and true not showing any wear. The case condition is excellent throughout, a few minor marks in keeping with age. A little later Elgin 18 size pocket watch that is key wind and key set… Serial number indicates a manufacture date of 1883… The movement is quite ordinary, but the case is great… First the case appears to be a stem wind case with the crown, but when the movement’s out there is no hole in the case latch spring… The front bezel is also hinged… Look at photos, not much wear to the covers or the center band heavy engine turning.. No dents or dings… Front cover opens smart. Y to 90 degrees. Glass crystal is fitted to bezel… The gilded movement runs great and keeps time… Movements was cleaned snd oiled a few years ago. Compensated balance runs true and had good motion.. Appears to be 11 jewels.. Winding is smooth as is the setting.. A period key is included with the watch… Excellent white enamel dial with contrasting blue steel hand set..
