Housed in an excellent near mint 2-Tone Case, Model 3, the center is10K Gold Filled and Silver Base metal front and back, made by Wadsworth for Hamilton. The Jewelry Store owner was a great watchmaker and had been in business since 1959. Over the years he had several contracts with local Railroad Unions and Kept the local railroad workers in good timepieces. He had a lot of good railroad watches and this is one of them! Brand: Hamilton Watch Co. Model: NEW OLD STOCK Unworn Unused Hamilton 992B Railroad approved pocket watch. Here is some additional information I found pertaining to this movement. Adjusted # of Positions. 22.3, 38.0, 57.1. Case Composition: Hamilton Stainless Steel (railroad case model 15). Running Condition: This watch runs obviously, however the oil in it is 51 years old, so I would expect to get it serviced just in order to get that old oil out and the new oil in. Case size not including bow or crown: 50.3mm in diameter. Comes with tissue paper and blue box. I might not have it, because I expect them to sell rather quickly. The other has a slightly different dial And… NO (darn it) they are not consecutive serial numbers. The jeweler told me he ordered several when he found out Hamilton was going to no longer make them. Being a 1970 model confirms as I think that was the last year they were made or right around there. The service history of this watch is unknown to me unless I state otherwise. Therefore you should expect to service this watch if you are a responsible collector. Often times these watches have been forgotten in a jewelers desk or in a back room for 30 plus years. I like to save them from that demise and get them back into the hands of collectors. It doesn’t take very long for old gummy oil to stop a movement from running (many times just a week or so) or even worse if the oil is dried out it might not take too long for the watch to grind itself up inside so please understand I can only tell you how the watch is performing here.
