Please be advised that we have no service record of any of the watches (unless noted above) from these estates and that cleaning, oiling and general servicing is recommended and more than likely required. These tasks will need to be done by the customer. These are estate items and are being offered in as-found condition. That would for instance be we state something is 14K gold and is only Gold plated, we state that something is 12″ long and it is only 8″ etc. Please be advised that some (a small percentage) of our items may be subject to presale in our store.
The watch is wound too tight. The case measures 54.7mm wide. The back case cover has a Stag engraved on it (see picture 2). The case shows wear and has some tarnish. The dial is marked Hampden Watch Co. There is a crack between the 5 and 6 o’clock positions (see picture 5). The inside of the front and back covers are marked Warranted 14k E. Co which makes this case a gold filled case. The inside of the movement cover is marked with a flag with a star in the center of it. The movement is marked Dueber Grand, Canton, Ohio, 17 Jewels. Please take a look at all of the pictures for condition.
This is a lever fusses movement. Has a brass cover over the movement. Has a Heavy beveled glass crystal. Comes with a silver heavy chain. And it was made in 1892 so it is 133 years old. The heavy duty silver chain is a new chain. Comes with the original brass key to set the time on the hands. And wind the main spring. It dident have a fancy silver chain when I bought this watch. And it needed to be polished. Please note I do not sell very old hard to find antique key wound pocket watches that need no repair runs and keeps time by 20 sec. So a dealer could resale it for much more.
