Just a gorgeous hand carved eagle with wings unfurled, a wall-mount pocket watch holder or display plaque. It looks for all the world like antique Swiss Black Forest carving, but it would likely be vintage more than antique. Or perhaps an earlier carving someone has mounted with a metal back to turn it into a pocket watch holder. It may have decorated a box at one time. I just found it appealing and knew you would as well. Full measurements are noted on our photos. Very good to excellent condition, as attested to by our photos. The wire hook is to hold the pocket watch. I didn’t have one handy to put with it for photos. Will try to find and add a photo soon. I really find no chips, no cracks, no breaks.

It features a full hunter closure, 13 jewels, and a Roman numeral porcelain dial. The watch is made of polished silver and has a snap caseback. The anchor escapement and mechanical movement make it a unique piece for collectors. The watch is in need of repair and is not currently working. Don’t see many 13 jewel pocket watches out there.. Also this is a very low serial number.. It’s rather a large pocket watch.. Which according to the chart says it’s about a 20s.. So if you put this all together, you got 13 J , low serial number , and the size of the pocket watch.. I think it’s kind of rare. Nonworking order but I’m sure it can be repaired.
