I got this from my grandfather’s estate 45 years ago, and it has sat in a drawer ever since. The movement is from the Elgin National Watch Co. And the case is from Fahys, marked Fahys Monarch No. 1, Pat April 22, 1879. The movement serial number dates the watch to around 1892 (4,683,288). The watch does not work, but the stem does move the watch hands.
