An early Victorian silver pair-cased verge pocket watch c1843. The crystal is missing and the balance is loose. The bow is attached on one side only and will need to be re-pinned. The fusee chain is attached and looks to be in good condition are the silver cases which have matching London assay marks. The watch measures 55mm across and weighs over 135g. RARE STERLING SILVER J. GRAVES SHEFFIELD SWING OUT MVT POCKET WATCH ” EXPRESS “. THE “EXPRESS” ENGLISH LEVER. On the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors, they stated. The Graves Express English Lever was made by The Lancashire Watch Co. Numbered: 649423 (see photo). See Photos for Sizing. No fractures on dial, just a very small scratch on Crystal, above seconds dial. Key enclosed size 9. Case is in very good condition for the age and there are no marks or scratches.
