Vintage 1904 Edwardian Carriage Mantle Desk Clock with removable pocket watch movement in stunning Arts & Craft hammered solid silver case made by TH Hazelwood & Co The case is in excellent condition with minimal age related wear that does not detract from its overall presentation or use, it is on lovely bun feet and has a delicate carriage handle on its top. The dark blue velvet lining that holds the pocket watch is in good condition as well, the case has good clear hallmarks to its rear The pocket watch has a solid silver loop with London import and 925 hallmark. The case appears to be either gilt on silver or brass, inside the case it has three star marks, the lowercase letter’h’ and the number 346. The movement has been ticking away happily and can easily be adjusted for speed. There is a tiny hairline crack on the ceramic dial. There are gold hands, the second hand has a small tarnish mark. The roman numerals are lovely, divided by small gold marks. The bevelled glass crystal is scratch free. As with any vintage timepiece, a service would never go amiss It measures approx 7cm high with carriage handle down and 9cm with it up.
