This is a very beautiful movement. Dial : The original Hamilton 992 Rail Road dial is in very good condition. Case : The original keystone Hamilton Rail Road model white gold filled. Case is in very good condition. This is a very nice looking case. This case shows light normal pocket wear. The case has a few light dings on the back. The Covers unscrew like they should. Very unique pocket watch from early in the Civil War. This American Watch Co. (Later American Waltham) William Ellery model was manufactured in 1862 and is a model 1857. The dial is in very good condition for its age. The case is coin silver, full Hunter, glass crystal, hinged bezel. All hinges work properly and the lids snap closed. The hair spring stud is not attached and the hairspring needs to be replaced. Chain with what I believe is the original key is included. Estimated Production Year: 1862. Total Production: 521,689. GERMAN WW2 Lah Panzer 1. Division Belonged German Officer German ALPINA Silver case pocket watch. Watch is in practically very good state with slight tear & wear. Vintage watches generally experience an error of up to 5-9 minutes a day. Any accuracy of +- 5 minutes is very good. Be careful and gentle when adjusting the movement speed (faster or slower). Don’t make sharp movements, and don’t touch other components in the movement especially the pendulum mechanism. All items are packed very well & should have no problems with arriving in good conditions. The 1st Panzer Division Leibstandarte AH abbreviated as 1st Pz. LAH began as Adolf personal bodyguard, responsible for guarding the Führer’s person, offices, and residences. Initially the size of a regiment (brigade), the LAH eventually grew into an elite division-sized unit. The LSSAH independently participated in combat during the invasion of Poland, and was amalgamated into the Waffen together with the Verfügungstruppe (-VT) and the combat units of the Totenkopfverbände prior to Operation Barbarossa in 1941. By the end of World War II it had been increased in size from a regiment to a Panzer division. The elite division, a component of the Waffen-, was found guilty of war crimes in the Nuremberg Trials.
