Watch apparently made after a switch to manual wind and set time pieces. The L size depicts 16 size watches. This watch is in running condition. Dial has minor damage off the seconds area at about 11 o’ clock. Total weight of this watch is 132.8 grams. This has a thick gauge case marked E. #2757 and marked 18kt. Vintage E Howard Boston Keystone 10 Railroad Pocket Watch – Yellow Hinged Case – 21 J. Yellow Howard Keystone metal case. Inside case back readsE. Boston Keystone Extra in very good condition. Running condition but keeps stopping. Mechanical movement circa 1916. This year marks 53 years in the antique and art business in the Los Angeles area and at one time Las Vegas and San Rafael, CA. Howard Boston hunting case pocket watch. This is a transitional watch and is stem wind, lever set or key wind key set (key not included). The lever is in under the bezel so you need a toothpick or knife edge to slide lever over to set time. The movement was just serviced and works good, keeping good time. Cosmetic condition is good. Howard Boston original silver hunting case pocket watch. The watch features a plain hunting case with beautiful interior decorated design, hinged inner dust cover, enamel dial with Roman numerals, original blued steel hands, sub seconds hand, glass crystal, and a 15 jewel gilded movement. The inner case cover is signed with the serial number “291′, and the maker “W&S. The pocket watch is a key wind, key set. I do not have an original key. We did wind and set the time with an universal key. The watch runs and has kept decent time. This is an 18 size pocket watch. The serial number on the movement is 1773. The condition of the watch is very good overall. The dial has cracks in the sub seconds circle. It is a 2 star watch meaning Space 1000 pieces or less. In series I a total of 1800 pieces were made and of course not all in the same case/variation etc, and who knows how many are still around? Please take a look at all the photos and ask questions before making an offer. I try to describe my items in all honesty as best that I can. Keep in mind this is an antique watch so you might find flaws or imperfections, and timing will not be perfect since it is a mechanical timepiece. I sell good quality watches that are all original, not put together from parts, and usually they are serviced, restored, repaired or at least exactly described if they have any issues. Since I do check, and re-check all watches before mailing out, if any arrive non working I will no longer accept them back for a return. The E Howard watches were considered very high grade in their time, and they were also very accurate. E Howard watches are some of the most rare of all American made pocket watches because there aren’t that many made and still around. On some of the previous pocket watch listings I got asked why I didn’t service them. The answer is that we are a very busy repair shop and between me and my father we can only work on so many each day. We have an inventory that we need to sell and do not have time to service all. That doesn’t mean that theres something wrong with the watch. I’ll describe what I have and what it is and you decide what its worth. I don’t hide things so you will know exactly what you’re getting. This particular watch I wound and tested several days and it has worked fine and kept good time. Im not sure when it was last serviced, but you should definitely service any watch before using it (I’ll leave that up to the lucky new owner). Gross weight of assembled watch 97.2 dwt (151.3 g). Runs well upon winding but has not been serviced, timed or tested, fine mvt condition overall, very dirty and tarnished plates with some light speckle, needs cleaning, will look quite a bit better; perfect dial; near mint hands except for rust on minute spade; push case shows smooth wear, re-engraved monogram, fine scratches and scuffing, no dings, pendant is heavily worn with a couple of small holes and some glue residue which prevents the stem from releasing the front cover, weak lift spring; tight bow, cap showing ample wear and one small hole; good glass crystal.
