I have an excellent antique solid silver Zenith Pocket Watch that I’d like to sell. It’s a beautiful 15 Jewel Swiss pocket watch in terrific condition. The serial# dates it’s manufacture to 1915. The case and inner dust cover are marked as. It has gold trim around the dial as well as around the outer back cover. The dial, case, hinges and movement are in very good condition. (The dial may have a nearly unnoticeable hairline) The covers snap closed properly. It winds, sets and runs well. The bow is snug. It keeps very good time but please don’t expect it to run with digital accuracy. It has a micro-regulator to adjust the time keeping. The case shows hardly any wear and there is no engraving on the back where a monogram would go The inner dust cover shows the “Paris 1900 Grand Prix” medals for timekeeping. I will package the watch well so that it will arrive perfectly. If there are any questions don’t hesitate to ask. After witnessing the success of American watch companies Waltham and Elgin utilizing mass production to sell affordable and reliable timepieces, he invested heavily in his own company to create a vertically integrated watchmaking operation, becoming the first manufacture d’horlogerie. At the 1900 Paris World’s Fair, George Favre-Jacot & Co. Was awarded the Grand Prix for their “Zenith” movement, so named because Favre-Jacot believed it represented the best of precision timekeeping. In 1911, the company was renamed to Fabrique des Montres Zenith S. After the prized movement.

In excellent cosmetic and working condition! Serial number of the movement is 1589497. Calibre Zenith 17.75”’. Stem wind and set. Bimetallic screw balance with 4 adjustment screws, Breguet Hairspring. Cam disc prcision regulator. The Silver (0.800) case is in very good condition. No dents or deep scratches! Zenith pocket watch for repair reads spiral Breguet on the dust cover and 15 rubies, double plateau, levees visible, 1896 Geneve. The hairspring looks good but the staff is bad held level when I put pressure on the crown it would run. Original zenith dial shows crack hair lines and chip. 945 silver finer than Sterling case shows dents on the rear cover and some patina spots that did not want to easily polish off. This is a pin set watch and the bow is also worn through to brass. A rare example and a welcome addition to any collection for restoration, parts, or collection. It has no crystal or hands.
