Manufactured in 1996, this is a pocket watch from Seiko’s “Pocket” series. This model features a classic full-hunter case and a small seconds hand positioned at 6 o’clock on the dial. It was once used as a gift from the Prime Minister of Japan, with some examples bearing the engraving “Gift from the Prime Minister” on the case back. However, it is speculated that this particular watch may have been presented as an award to a recipient at a sports competition sponsored by P&G. Rare, Antique Argent Dore 800 Silver Colbalt Blue Guilloche Enamel Pocket Watch. Ornate hands Louis XVI? With gold accents on the porcelain dial. Subtle swirl pattern in the enamel. Stamped, 800 with a faint Argent Dore mark. Circa early 1900s, small and beautifully crafted with the enamel still in very nice condition.
