23J Hamilton 950B in very fine condition throughout. The yellow gold filled 16 size bar over crown case with Hamilton signed crown has a few light scratches on the back from careful normal use but has not been personalized or abused and otherwise looks great, and although a few minutes spent with a buffing wheel would make the case look like new, I chose not to do that, leaving that option to the new owner. Any discolored areas on the case in the photographs are only due to lighting reflection… This is a NICE case! The dial has a short, faint hairline just above the number 5, but this is not easily noticed and it’s otherwise in beautiful condition, and the hands and crystal all look great. The 23 jewel Hamilton 950B stem wind lever set movement winds and sets smoothly and is in good running order. Please don’t ask. 18 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set Grade 943 pocketwatch. Rare fully marked example of this beautifully finished high grade railroad watch, movement is marked with “943″, “Adjusted 5 Positions”, and “Double Roller” on the barrel bridge. Watch is fronted by a double-sunk enamel Montgomery numeral dial with script signature and is housed in a beautifully engraved gold-filled Crescent Watch Case Co. Anderson of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Running and a beautiful movement with excellent bright color and luster. Regulator is shifted toward one side and I think likely this movement hasn’t seen a cleaning and oiling in some time. Montgomery dial is very nice with just a faint hairline at the 11 O’clock area and a small scratch near the outer edge outside the 16 to 17 minute numerals. Case is very attractive with an excellent in hand look and feel and with all engraving in sharp condition, but front lid has a file mark at its upper right and cuvette has a file mark at its left side presumably from someone testing for gold content. Front lid of case needs a small nudge of help in opening through the beginning of its motion before the liftspring takes it the rest of the way under its own power.
