Silver pair case fusee detent chronometer. Parkinson and frodsham change alley. London hallmarked 1818 dial at fault. Runs for a while but stops foot detent. Looks ok bridge cock tipycal brockbanks type. Very unusual compensation curb this type. Was used on polar expeditions at that time. Although i can not find any records chain is. On cases not bad condition screw in the case. Lower part of bezel to hold movement or lock it in. Not there minor problem will need some work to repair. But well worth it for a rare watch. Rare antique Verge watch gold gilded and hand painted horn case. Made by Peter Parkinson of London. Perfectly working verge fusee movement with a beautiful engraved. Balance bridge, signed: P. The really gorgeous miniature hand painted horn outer watch case is in an extremely. Good conserved condition, hard to find, very rare. The dial has a few hair lines and a small repair on the edge between 1 and 3 o clock. The crystal glass is near mint. The movement is recently serviced, running with a great motion and a good strong tick. In all positions, keeps reasonable verge time. Across 56mm, including bow 82mm. Will be delivered with a fitting key, and an extra key set of 14 pcs. Watches of this period are not accurate Quartz timekeepers. See my other items.
