For sale is an antique Longines pocket watch. Ornate silver case with Birmingham hallmarks. Singed case, dial and movement. Please note the aging and oxidation on dial and case as shown in pictures. Watch is in working order and winds, sets and runs. Please note that service history of the watch is unknown, hence, accuracy is untested and not guaranteed. A service/cleaning is recommended for optimal timekeeping.

This is a circa 1928 Longines Pocket Watch which belonged to a man named Robert Blatz. The watch is partially running (see video of ticking and seconds hand moving), however it does not stay running for long. It likely needs a service, but all parts appear to be present. Robert’s initials are engraved on the back of the watch case. The case was manufactured by the Illinois Watch Case Co. The case has the serial 4423567 and the watch movement has the serial 2507318. It’s a seventeen jewel movement made by Longines Watch Co in Switzerland. The case back does have several watchmakers marks on it indicating service throughout the years. To the best I can tell, the last service was either in the late 1990s or early 2000s. It’s clearly been well taken care of over the years.

Serial #1213563 (ca 1900) The 42mm porcelain DIAL in nice original condition. No hairlines, but dirty. Gold filled case, some wear on body side; 52 mm wide, 64 mm tall, 15 mm thick.
