This elegant 1800′s jewelled pocket watch is a true vintage treasure. With its classic Roman numerals and silver case, this watch exudes timeless sophistication. It features a mechanical (manual) movement, a white dial, and a stunning hunting case. This watch comes from an extensive Watchmakers collection and has been stored for over 50 years and will need oiling and cleaning. My information on this watch is limited, it appears to be size 6. This pocket watch is in great working order and comes with watch chain and its original key for winding and setting. Unfortunately, it does not come with papers or original packaging. This piece is perfect for any watch collector or lover of vintage accessories.
16 size 21 jewel hunting case pendant-set Grade 961 pocket watch movement/dial/hands. Movement and dial are private label signed for A. Bloedel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Movement is a beautifully finished bridge model with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, gold train wheels, and a striped pattern nickel damaskeen. Dial is double-sunk enamel with Arabic hour numerals. Movement requires a detent style stem for its winding and setting mechanism and comes with one as pictured, and movement will require an appropriate case for this stem type. Movement serial number is 51925. Running and a nice looking movement overall cosmetically with good color and luster. One case screw is missing. Dial faces up well but has a patched edge chip at 21 minutes, some scattered outer chapter hairlines, and some flaking at the center of its seconds-register. Amazing 14-karat yellow gold hunting case pocket from the famous Mermod Jaccard Jewelry Company! Excellent quality movement and case maker! The dust-cover cuvette is engraved: Nellie M Rowe. Not sure if this was owned by the famous Nellie Mae Rowe or just a coincidence, but very cool historical piece! Movement is serial #7999, appears to be an Agassiz, Swiss movement. We recently had this serviced and it now winds up easy, sets easily and runs well! Now, the fun part! The total gross weight of this entire timepiece is 51.6-grams, wow!
