This watch is not marked but I guarantee it to be gold (except dust cover). It is probably 14K but could be 18K. Runs but is a bit sluggish. Also the hinged front bezel needs some work on one side. Sizes range from 38.3 mm – 40.5 mm. The LIGNE is equal to the twelfth part of the French Inch, which is approximately 1/16th larger than our own inch. Mm or roughly 2¼ mm. Thus a 10 ligne movement should measure 22.5mm. In inches this would be 0.8881 as the LIGNE is equal to. 0888 parts of an inch. Please refer to pictures for more information. This is a RE-CASED Vacheron & Constantin high grade watch with 21 jewels and 8 adjustments. It does wind, set and tick. It is pendant set. Mechanically in excellent condition though I do not know it’s service history. The dial is signed as well as the movement. No issues with the dial or hands. The case is NOT original and is gold filled. It does have a LATER applied gold design with diamonds to the front of the case that I believe is solid gold. Inside the case covers there are some stains and other marks. The outer covers look nice. The crown sticks out too far. Covers open and close as they should but do open a little past 90 degrees. NICE ANTIQUE PATEK PHILIPPE & CIE 20 JEWEL HUNTING CASE POCKET WATCH MOVEMENT ONLY! This movement is mechanically excellent. It will tick and has a good balance staff and train of wheels. You will want to supply a stem and crown. The diameter of the dial is 43.5mm. There are diamond markers glued (I believe) to the dial. Maybe they could be removed but I don’t know for sure. The dial is signed on the front and back. There is one short hairline. The second hand missing but the post for it is there. The movement is marked’adjusted’ and has cap jewels at the lever and escape wheel. Note the wolf’s tooth winding and the cam or snail regulator. There is a counterpoised moustache lever. All the steel parts are highly polished. I expect you will want to clean/oil this movement but it does tick with good motion already. There is dust/dirt as you can see.
