Pocket Watch Case

For your consideration is an E. Howard Series X, J Size (12S) with 15 Jewels Pocket Watch. Watch was made between 1892 to 1899 and has a nice nickel movement. Total production of this Series by E. Howard was only 1,500. Watch is in working condition. The Dial has three small hairlines which can be seen in the pictures. Overall a very nice dial. The Umbrella Hands are nicely blued. The beveled crystal has normal scratches and small scuffs from daily use that do not interfere with reading the time. The Movement is a nice nickel with some scratches. The serial number is 500926. The watch is stem wind and stem set. The Open Face Hinged Case is marked Warranted Crescent 20 years. All three covers open right at 90 degrees. Overall the case doesn’t show much wear. There are what look like six pin pricks on the back cover which do not go through the case. They can be seen on the inside of the back cover. Hello and welcome to another of my listings! Today for your consideration is this amazing circa 1865 E. Howard Watch Company decagon Hunter case pocket watch! It comes with a key and is currently running, it is running fast and will need to be adjusted. It is about 18 size, it does show wear from use. I bought this for myself but find myself not wearing it as much as I should so I figured I’ll thin out the collection and let someone else enjoy it! It has a very cool decagon Hunter case made of coin silver, I’m not sure if its original but it looks incredible! Movement has a dust cover over it that is transparent with a keyhole cut into it. Howard Very Nice all Original with 16 size 21 jewel lever set movement has recently been serviced so it is running strong and keeping pretty good time.. Perfect original dial has no chips, cracks and no hairlines. The yellow gold filled case has screw on back and screw on bezel with thick glass crystal. Inside the case back it says Howard Watch Co. Keystone Watch Case J Boss 10k gold filled. Just noticed slight brasing but not too bad. The movement says E. 21 jewels, 1378658 is the serial number, Series 11, Railroad Chronometer, Boston, USA, R. Boston N-size 15 jewel open face pendant-set Series VIII pocket watch. An attractive example with the notable features of an original silver case and a particularly beautiful fancy nickel damaskeen to its movement. Watch is fronted by its correct sunk-seconds enamel dial and is housed in a hinged silver case that is simply marked “Coin” within an oval shaped cameo in each lid. Case has a plain unengraved finish but is elegant with gold hinges and with gold bow sockets on its pendant. Movement is very nicely finished with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, and a far more impressive damaskeen than is typically seen on this Series. Movement serial number is 308480. Running and a beautiful movement with superb color and luster. Dial faces up nicely with just a light hairline at 5 O’clock and a very faint hairline at about 12:30. Case is attractive with a strong overall in hand look and shows just some shallow mild compression denting of its center rear which is evident as mild rippling to its reflection in this area. Howard 16 size, 21 jewels, series 10, extra adjusted railroad grade pocket watch with signed E. Howard Extra Keystone case. The watch is running and keeping good time. The serial number is 1150774. Up for sale is a very nice 18 size 15 jewel E. Howard Series III pocket watch in an 18k solid yellow gold case out of an estate! The key wound and set movement is marked: E. Boston 7115 Reed’s Patent Nov. The movement dates to around 1865. The dial is simply marked: E Howard & Co Boston. The dial is in fair condition – see photos for condition. The case is in good condition, showing only light scratches, and the bow is starting to show some wear. The finish on the button to open the lid has worn through. Inside of the case back and lid are marked: W&S 18 2228. Inside the movement cover is also marked 2228. The case without the movement weighs 78 grams.
