RARE EARLY HAMILTON 973-16s 17J RAILROAD-GLASS BACK CASE CONVERSION DIAL RUNS. Early Hamilton Grade 973 serial number 71786. Watch is a unique watch that is in a factory made class back case and that is a positive set Hamilton Movement. Watch is a railroad grade at the time Hamilton made it and is marked adjusted. Watch is beautifully finished with nice Damaskeening and Damaskeened winding wheels. Dial is an interesting Hamilton Conversion dial to make the watch an open face watch. Dial is in very nice condition case shows a little wear and movement is strong running and keeps time, but I have not checked it over a long period. A very interesting early Hamilton Antique Pocket Watch that is a railroad grade. Please see pictures for more information and condition. 1962 Hamilton 992B RR Pocket Watch 21j 16s Monty Dial BOC 10K GF Case Serviced! Hamilton Railway Special 992B 21j 16s Montgomery Dial Original 10K Gold Filled Case in Excellent Running Condition. Out of my personal collection, Hamilton 992B, 21 Jewel, 16 Size, adjusted to 6 positions and Adjusted to Temperature. The pendant wind and lever set movement is running strong and keeping good time. The Minty single-sunk Montgomery dial, no cracks, no hairline or chips whatsoever. The Arabic numerals are in excellent condition. Has Black Spade and whip Steel hands in excellent condition. Has NOS thick crystal. Housed in a nice BOC case made for Hamilton W. By Wadsworth 10K gold-filled, it is in excellent condition with no brassing, a tiny dent on the outer edge of the caseback, a few pinheads nick on the case body and normal pocket scratches. Inside of the caseback showing inscription, reads (Terry Harstad – Chicago). Both covers glide on/off smooth and seal tight. Has a nice original Hamilton Railroad Crown and a moveable bow. This Hamilton Grade 974 16S pocket watch was produced circa 1915 and is in excellent condition. Running strong and keeping good time. Housed in a nice gold filled swing out case. The original enamel dial is in excellent shape. The only flaw is a hairlines that runs across the sub seconds. I could only see it with a loupe. The case is in nice shape without any brassing. Some light marks from wear and use. This is an estate find from a collector. Service history is unknown. W/ Original Case and Chain. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself! This pocket watch is still in beautiful condition and is running. Has the Hamilton name on the face. The clock has a tannish gold face with raised gold colored numbering. The glass bezel over the face is intact. The hour and minute hands are in place, as is the seconds hand. The clock does wind. When stem pulled out a little bit, the hands can be set to the correct time. Has H166134 noted on the case label. Also, has X31365 noted on the same label. The party we acquired from also said it had the serial number H-8216 inside the case and 21 jewels in their listing. That equates to a Grade 936 (considered one of their first railroad quality watches) on the Hamilton serial number site, made in 1895 and that only 700 of them were made. Have not been able to open the pocket watch back yet to confirm what is noted on the label on the bottom of the case and what the party we acquired from noted in listing. Comes in a blue and gold colored Hamilton case. Made of some sort of composite material.. Lining inside still intact. A label on the bottom of the case. Cannot say if the original case to this pocket watch or not. The movement looks quite clean. Did put some clock oil on the bushings and pivot points on the back plate of the movement. The clock does run when wound. There is no representation that the clock is in original condition, or will continue to be in working order. This is a time only clock, no strike or chime. The pocket watch stands 1-13/16″ tall by wind stem, by 1.75″ across, by 3/8 wide. The watchk face is 1.5 across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. This is a beautiful pocket watch it is another one out of my personal collection, I offer you a 1952 Hamilton 992B Railway Special Pocket Watch 21j, lever set Crown, and stem wind. Model 5, Adjusted to temp. And 6 positions, the movement has been serviced as of 2/20/21 and it is super clean, It Winds, Sets & Runs, keeps a great Time, I just got it back from being serviced, it is ticking strong and keeping amazing time. C357194 Housed in a nice 10K R. Hamilton original Case, No. The crown is in excellent condition the bow is firm, both covers glide on/off smoothly, it is a very nice and clean case near mint, you might detect some pocket scratches on the right side of the case body and a few small nicks on the bow from normal use but nothing major, No dents No brass no dimples. The crystal is new and also close to mint Box Car Dial, Double Sunk, showing a very faint hard-to-see small hairline above the sub-dial and a flea bite at the 53 of the second sub. No chips, no cracks on this dial. The nice Black spade and whip steel hands are intact.
