Antique 1900 Elgin Size 18s Pocket Watch in Keystone Double Hinged Open face Case – Runs Great. I wound and ran this watch for about 12hours and it started up on it’s own, but I can not ensure it’s accuracy to keep exact time and due to it’s age it may require regulated. Case Measurement (not including Crown): 57.16mm. Case Measurement (including Crown): 77.00mm. Production year of the movement within +/- 3 years>. Hunting: The stem is at the 3:00 position, and the movement is meant to be mounted in a case that has a covering over the face. “Sidewinders” are hunting movements in openface cases. This Antique Pocket Watch was made by Elgin National Watch Company and it runs and keeps time. It does start up on it’s own when wound and ticks strong with excellent swing (I can not guarantee it’s accuracy and it may need to be regulated for accuracy). The movement is Stamped Elgin National Watch Co – Seven Jewels – Safety Pinion – U. And it’s serial numbered #3840235. This watch is a Stem Wind and Set Movement and it winds easily and the hands move smoothly when setting the time. This pocket watch has a Very Clean Enamel Dial with a very small hairline crack at the 7 o’clock postions and does have some edge chipping (See Pics). It has Blue Steel Hands which are in excellent condition with no rust visible. The Crystal is a Brand New (NOS) Glass Crystal and is very clear and is in mint condition. It has black hour markers and a nice seconds dial at the 6 o’clock postion. This Pocket Watch Case is a Double Hinged Open Face Case with a dust cover and is in great condition. It is Stamped inside “Keystone Watch Case Co – Silveroid” and it serial numbered #3840235. All Case lids snap shut and stay shut and the hinges open to 90 degrees. It does have a few light dings on the back cover and some tool marks on dust cover from opening. This case is very clean and shiny as you can see from the pictures but it has some light scratches from age. The Bow and Crown are in excellent condition. Sterling & Guilloche Enamel Case Travel Clock. Been keeping perfect time to the minute. Wound it about halfway and it runs 15-18 hours. The Guilloche Enamel is Excellent minor scratches. The snap closure works perfectly. The crystal is cracked & needs replacement. I did not have a tool to open up the watch. The case measures 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ x 1/2. A very interesting and most important near MINT GOLD 18ct THREE COLUR GOLD case watch. I CAN NOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH THAT THIS IS NEW OLD STOCK I DO NOT THINK IT HAS EVER BEEN USED. Outer 18 CT gold case well hallmarked the size is 32 m. The case is in near mint condition. All the hinges work well on the case. The weight of the watch is 29 grams. The dial in perfect condition (save a very small chip at winding hole). Exceptionally fine original gold hands. The glass is very high clean and clear. The fire gilt movement look just like the day it left the work shop. The watch runs well. Time keeping aprox C + or+ – 1-2 minuets per hour. With a very fine decorated and engraved balance cock, a silver Tompion regulator. Signed on the back plate L EPINE PARIS a well listed maker. The watch will come with an old key. Just great to have such an amazing and interesting watch that is as good as this one, and it just has every thing one could want on a fine verge watch, very hard to find a watch in this condition with all that it has going for it. Beautiful Solid Gold 14 Kt Waltham 5 minute repeater. Hunter case with nice tight covers. Inner dust cover shows presentation in 1901. Marked covers 14 KT. Dial is in great condition with moon hands. Sharp crown and bow. The movement is a lever set type with gold wheels and jewel setting. Riverside model patent pinion Patented 1888. Gold pallet fork bridge too. Tad pole regulator nickle plates. This watch was made in 1901 It is 118 years old and has been stored for decades in a vault. It could probably use some service. Cosmetically it is in great shape.
