GREAT 14K CASE / SUPER RARE ONLY 17,329 MADE / 1885 WALTHAM 6S 13J POCKET WATCH. Working and was tested over an 18 hour period and kept poor time, lost approx 8 minutes, balance staff & wheel ok. It will need a service or repair to keep perfect time, has sat idle for years. The very nice / decorative 14k gold case is 40mm in diameter and is in good condition, some minor scratches & wear, weighs approx 56.6 grams. Waltham c1885, Grade Royal, Model 1873-6, 6S, 13J, lever set, stem wind with date serial number 2704061. Super rare movement, only 17,329 were produced making it very collectable, more so in a 14k gold case. Dial has some cracks, inner case back engraved and dated 1888. Local Brisbane pick-up welcomed. Antique 1908 American Waltham Size 18s Model #1883 Pocket Watch in Crescent Swing-Out Case – Runs Great. I wound and ran this watch for about 12 hours and it started up on it’s own when wound and keep pretty accurate time (within a few minutes), but I can not ensure it’s accuracy to keep exact time and due to it’s age it may require a good cleaning or service. Case Measurement (not including Crown): 58.00 mm. Case Measurement (Including Crown) 74.70 mm. Case Thickness : 21.00 mm. Production year of the movement within +/- 3 years>. Hunting: The stem is at the 3:00 position, and the movement is meant to be mounted in a case that has a covering over the face. “Sidewinders” are hunting movements in openface cases. This Antique Pocket Watch was made by Waltham Watch Company runs and keeps time and does start up on it’s own when wound (I can not guarantee it’s accuracy and it may need cleaned or serviced). The movement is Stamped American Walthm Watch Co. Safety Pinion and it’s serial numbered #16798772. This watch is a Stem Wind and Stem Set Movement. This watch winds up smooth and easy and the hand move smoothly when setting the time. It has a Super Clean Enamel Dial which has no chipping just a few small light hairlines at the 6 o’clock Postion (See Pics). It has Bright Blue Steel Hands which are in Great Condition. The Glass Crystal is in Excellent Condtion and is very clear. It has black hour markers and a nice seconds dial at the 6 o’clock postion. This case is a Nice Swing-Out Case with a Screw On Bezel. The Hinge works properly and opens easily and the Bezel screw down easily and tight. It has a nice Gold Toned Knurl under the Crown. The Case does have a few light dings on the back cover and some scratches that you can see on the pictures. The Crown, Stem and Bow are all in Excellent Condition.
