Beautiful solid and clean English made by Charles Grahame, Liverpool. 39898 silver cased verge fusee. Sharp Solid sterling silver case is Silver hall marked (u) 1818 Birmingham assay. Beautiful white colored porcelain dial with big bold clear numbers. This dial has beautiful eye appeal and only has an edge repair near the 6 and a small edge flake near the 1. Sharp matching Gold colored hands. Sharp clear high domed crystal. All case covers open, close and fit perfect together, nice and and tight. Key wind and key set pocket watch runs full length of chain. Balance has outstanding motion with a nice strong main spring. The balance bridge has unique and ornate scroll work with a face as does the right side of the movement. The movement is super clean with blue screws and is regulated by a finger pointing to a silver disked regulator. The watch measures approx. 57mm excluding the bow. Pocket watch runs outstanding and keeps great fusee time, last checked about +/- 1 or 2 minutes within approx. 24 hour period hanging from a hook in the vertical position…….. But cannot guarantee accuracy upon sale. These watches are verge type. Meant to keep time, not perfect time 198 years ago. Also special care must be taken not to overwind these old museum pieces. Inside the case are some old watch maker papers with one from Fitzwilliam New Hampshire. Watch comes with a key for winding. Note all of my pocket watches have been personally serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition. This is a great looking real solid cased beautiful condition 198 year old fusee pocket watch with a nice pleasant tick, that functions beautiful with beautiful dial and hands.
