Pocket Watch Case

I have up for sale a wonderful antique Ezra Fitch April 22, 1879 Patent DUST PROOF Screw Down Bezel Gold Filled Fahy’s AMERICA Open Face Watch Case with ornate back, thick beveled glass, and highly detailed bezel and side case. Its a Gorgeous Case as you can see from the pics , measures approx 54.7mm outside diameter and approx 45.5 inside diameter. Both the front case / bezel and back case screw on and off. I let that for you to figure out. I do not have the knowledge base for that sort of thing. The back case is very handsome with a lovely detailed floral pattern and an etched City /Village scene. The sides are very ornate, the pattern looks sort of like a fern leaf scroll, its super nice. The crystal has a few light scratches and scuffs but it definitely usable unless you are uber fussy. I have no idea of the movement size that will fit the case and will leave that for you who are more knowledgable in that area. I would suspect that its for either an 16 or 18 size but as stated will let you figure that out using the mm diameter. The stamp on the inside of the back case has a circular backstamp with a FLAG depicted on the inside and the word AMERICA printed along with the patent date of April 22, 1879. The AMERICA brand case was made by FAHY Watch Case Co. I have provided lots of information and nice pics. ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics. The movement is running and keeping time. The case has nice crisp detail. Case measures approx 33mm. Condition is good with typical wear, scratches and dents for its age. Up for sale is a very nice guaranteed antique gold filled Potomac pocket watch. I could not find very much information about this particular pocket watch and I think it is rare. The watch is labelled Potomac on the face and on the inside. The watch has a nice hunter case. Measurements – The watch is 1 33/8 inches in diameter. Elgin Grade 95 Model 1 6 Size Gold Filled Full Hunter Pocket Watch ca. This antique Elgin grade 95, model 1, 7 jewel, 6 size, full hunter pocket watch has a gold filled case measuring approximately 41.5mm in diameter x 2 1/4 inches long including bow. The case is completely hand engraved with a guilloche finish and small polished circle on the front. The case has a light patina and overall light wear for it’s age. The front, back and dust cover hinges all open, close and secure properly. The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals, blue light spade hands, a single sunk seconds register at six o’clock and is marked “Elgin”. The dial has a very light hairline near seven but the dial is in otherwise good condition. The minute hand falls off. The inside back case is stamped “12766″. The gilt movement is stamped Elgin Nat’l Watch Co. All screws and jewels appear to be in good condition. This watch is stem wind, lever set. This watch is running. No guarantee of future performance. This Elgin could be in great antique condition with just a little work.
