The watch comes serviced and displayed in a factory Waltham display case, making it a desirable addition to any collection. Watch is in excellent condition keeping accurate time, varying 5 to 10 seconds per day. Watch was serviced in 2025. Case does show normal wear for its age. Crystal’s has some light scratches and hands and dial are in great condition with a hairline between 11 and 12 o’clock position that I can see.

This is a original HAMILTON 992 pre Elinvar hairspring. 992 type 2 narrow inline damaskeen with made in USA. Many of this run went to France to help rebuild Frances Railroad system in the reconstruction phase after ww2. This one has been recased with a beautifull bar over crown (BOC) RR case with crystals on both sides to show the beauty of this watch. These cristals are strong enough to carry in your pocket. NOT JUST A PARADE CASE. GREAT RUNNING MOVEMENT setting fine ready for your pocket or collection. I gaurantee satisfaction on this watch.

Produced by CWCCo, USA. Display “Salesman”, Clear Back. Bar Over Crown, BOC. Very hard to find – only 500 of these cases are produced. Serial Number will be anywhere VAS040-VAS500. NOTE: These cases will no longer be produced. The bar over the crown prevents the crown to be pulled, so this case is intended to be used ONLY for lever set movements. Both crystals are Glass. Both front and Back bezels are screw on/off.
