Here’s a latter-day Vanguard W. Looking really sharp and keeping near perfect time! This fine antique watch is in excellent working order, with a dead flat and true balance wheel motion that has a fine, wide arc and a strong, steady beat. The movement is a smooth wind, starts right up on my 3rd wind with no jiggling, and lever sets as designed. The wind-indicator needle works great and is set at the right position. The movement holds time within 30 seconds per week face-up after years of careful and prolonged hand-regulating! Appearance-wise this movement is looking terrific, with 100% bright and spotless winding wheels, brilliantly bright and clean bridge nickel plates with all of the eye-catching gold engraving paint intact, spotless correct screw micrometer regulator, super pristine looking inside, and ripping and running keeping railroad time! The movement is a smooth wind, starts right up on my 6th wind with no effort, and lever sets as designed.
