EXTRA CLEAN 1899 16 SIZE BALL/WALTHAM RAILROAD SPECIAL STANDARD 17 JEWEL POCKET WATCH IN GOLD FILLED CASE. Lever-set watch winds, sets and runs flawlessly and keeps accurate time. Serial number of B134876 dates production to 1899. Single sunk PORCELAIN dial is extra nice with no chips, cracks or hairlines. All markings are crisp and vivid. Steel blued hands are flawless. Crystal is free of scratches or scuffs. The 10K gold filled case is ORIGINAL to this watch and is in excellent, undamaged condition. There is no wear-through anywhere and the bezel and sides are free from scratches or dings. Case was made by Star Watch Case Co. Pendant, bow and crown are also extra nice. Watch is powered by a beautifully decorated Waltham/Ball 17-jewel lever-set movement, which is adjusted. It winds, sets and runs without a hitch and keeps accurate time. An outstanding high grade railroad pocket watch, made by Waltham and certified by BALL WATCH CO. This beautiful watch is a 16 size, open face, lever set, 21 jewel movement. This watch is completely original to 1919 and features a beautiful nickel circular damaskeened rear plate with the gold inlaid RR Standard Medallion, screw down gold jewel settings, and gold script, also a diamond end stone and ruby jewels. The porcelain dial is in excellent condition and signed Official RR Standard, Ball Watch Co. ” The case is an original gold filled Ball case, signed “Ball Model and made by Keystone Watch Case Co. J Boss, warranted 20 years with its stirrup bow. The watch has been running and keeping time, and has been fitted with an acrylic crystal which is clear. The original high grade movement has 17 jewels and it is adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. It is lever set with a double roller, gold screw settings and gold balance weights! It has sapphire pallets. This beautiful movement is all original. Dial : The original Ball Hamilton dial is in good condition but it does have several hairlines. The hands are the original! Case : The watch is housed in a beautiful Gold filled case. The case is in very nice condition. The case is not original to this movement but it is correct.
