Watchmakers are excellent people and great caretakers of their time pieces. Here are some specifics about this pocket watch case. Brand: Keystone J Boss. Model: 12 size White Gold Filled Pocket watch case engraved with W. Ward from University of Chattanooga Alumni ASSN 1929 FOOTBALL. Case Composition: Keystone J Boss 14K 25 year gold filled. Case size (measurements not including bow or crown): 44.1mm in diameter. Notes/Condition: As you can tell this is a very clean pocket watch case. With an engraving that enhances the value. The service history of this watch is unknown to me unless I state otherwise. Therefore you should expect to service this watch if you are a responsible collector. Often times these watches have been forgotten in a jewelers desk or in a back room for 30 plus years. I like to save them from that demise and get them back into the hands of collectors. It doesn’t take very long for old gummy oil to stop a movement from running (many times just a week or so) or even worse if the oil is dried out it might not take too long for the watch to grind itself up inside so please understand I can only tell you how the watch is performing here. Rare 1918 Illinois Bunn, 16s, 19j, Grade Bunn, Model 11 Class 1 Railroad Grade Pocket Watch Serial No. 3363287 with Double Sunk Illinois Gothic Montgomery Dial in a B&B Royal 14K Gold Filled Case. The Illinois DS Montgomery Gothic Dial is in excellent condition with no visible issues and the Movement is very clean and beautiful, pictures don’t do it justice. This is a vintage 1952 Lord Elgin 12 size open face pocket watch made by the Elgin National Watch Company. This 21 jewel #543 Elgin movement has 8 adjustments. The movement is mint, not a tool mark on it. It has a mint dial with gold stick hands and gold applied hour markers. The crown shows no wear and the bow is tight. Spectacular RARE & NICE Hamilton 992 “Special” 21 jewel 16 size Railroad pocket watch. This is a 3 Star rarity watch in the Shugart watch book. Tu-tone 21 jewel marked “Special”checkerboard movement runs well. Serial number 2532546 with number 33569 faintly hand scratched below. Original Model 2, 14 karat white gold filled bar over case in great condition with no dents or brassing. Correct Hamilton white crown. Back and bezel screw on smoothly. All serial numbers match on the 3 pieces of the case. Interestingly, between the case serial numbers on the case back are hand scratched the number 33579, 10 off from the movement number. I suspect this number was meant to be 33569. The original dial has no cracks or chips; stunning. Correct and beautiful blued steel hands. This rare watch is a fresh to the market estate find, not massaged, “improved” or polished; exactly as found. You won’t be disappointed.
