For your consideration we have a very nice 16 size pocket watch case. The case is marked Keystone Watch Case J. The case has some wear and scratches. The crystal has some light scratches. The bow looks good, but the crown looks to show damage. The case measures about 2 in diameter without the bow or crown. Please refer to pictures for more information. This pocket watch presently winds and runs nicely. The pocket watch has a fine design with hand painted porcelain enamel dial, and a finely enameled back case. The watch shows a few light marks and the dial has a light hairline only noticeable upon close inspection. The harp has a small enamel loss to the top. The pocket watch is otherwise in fine estate fresh condition for its age. The pocket watch came from the estate with this very nice tooled leather case and key. The pocket watch measures 2 1/4 inches tall, by 1 5/8 inches wide, and 3/8s of an inch thick. The pocket watch weighs 41.6 grams. BEST OF LUCK WITH THE AUCTIONS! Presented is a nice example of the Hamilton Railroad grade 992B in its original scarce Model 3 tu tone case, with its original single sunk dial and great running high grade movement. The lever set open face movement is a 16′s with 21 jewels, featuring nice bright nickle straight lined damaskeened plates with black lettering, Elinvar Balance with great motion, and gold jewel settings. It was cleaned just a couple of weeks ago and runs great. It is marked Hamilton Watch Co. USA 992B 21 Jewels Adj. And 6 Positions and bears the serial number C225922. Virtually no rust except for the main winding wheel and a touch on the regulator spring, and that’s it. The very scarce Model 3 case (I always thought it was a Model 2 that was offered in a tu tone) is cosmetically in very nice condition with no dents or dings and the only things I can pick at is a small amount of light wearthru on the body and a touch on the bow. The bezels screw off just fine but can be a tad tricky at times (though once you get the hang of it, with a light touch and starting it straight they work fine). It is marked on the bottom body “W 10K Gold Filled” and on the inside “Wadsworth Base Metal”. The original Boxcar single sunk enamel dial is in nice condition with no issues that I can find and is signed “Hamilton” in block. Very nice original black steel hands.
