The Pocket Watch can be dated to c1931 using the serial number on the movement and the case “h” letter Birmingham hallmark is for 1932/33 so that lines up perfectly. The Case is made by Dennison and both rear doors are made from and stamped solid 9ct Gold. The stem and the loop are also marked for 9ct Gold. There is some engraving on the back of Dust cover or inner door. Not on the rear door. The movement is the 7 jewel Waltham movement typical of the time. The watch appears to be working well, however as it is Antique no Guarantee is provided. The Dial has Waltham USA on the enamel. The case is in average condition with some small dings on the outside of the rear door. The dial, fingers and Glass all appear to be in good condition. The Watch is wound at the top, when lifted up this also is used to adjust the time. Total weight of the Pocket Watch 80.8g and has an approximately 48mm Diameter. This was my father in laws wrist watch. He passed away in’74 & we just “re-found” it in the closet! It’s been here, there & everywhere! As you can tell by the wear on the watch band, he wore it often. It still works beautifully. It is Not in excellent condition, cosmetically speaking. The crystal has some scratches, commensurate to age & wear. The 750 gold case has some scratches as shown in pictures, & the gold wash on wrist band, has quite a bit if wear! Band CAN be replaced, as it is Not built in! It’s still a great deal on this HUGUENIN, Swiss wrist watch. It works perfectly but, needs professional diamond dust polishing. Hard to believe this watch was made in 1896!!! The detailed engraving on the front and back covers of this Size 0 pocket watch are almost as sharp as they were when this watch was made. Obviously this watch was not worn often. The American Watch Case Company 14k solid gold case measures 34.6 mm wide not including the bow and crown. It weighs 22.1 pennyweight or 34.3 grams. There is a Oct. 7,’98 dedication on the inside dust cover lid. This Waltham watch is way too nice to be scrapped. The SIGNED dial is clean and has black Roman numeral hour markers and matching blued hands. The crystal is clean. The hinges are tight. This is a very nice original 1909 pocket watch made by International Watch Co, the well know IWC. It is a very very nice small watch, made of 18k solid gold, probably born for a lady. It has a high grade movement, marked “chronometer” in the inner cases, and it means an IWC 1st grade movement, and the watch has probably partecipated to the Chronometer Contest Approval in Geneva or Neuchatel. The watch is well working, even if I have not tested the precision, the movement is ok; the dial is original, a nice white porcelain dial, original and with no defects, with “big” arabic numerals. Really excellent condition overall, I would rate it as mint-, truly beautiful. The diameter of the case is 32mm. Trattasi di un orologio da tasca della International Watch Co.
