Presenting a vintage mens Patek Philippe pocket watch, originally retailed by and signed by Thomas Kirkpatrick. Movement is not signed by Patek, but plate layout, design, and finish as well as the quality and mechanism of the watch are in keeping with that of a Patek. Dial is a snap on style dial, also in keeping with a Patek, and Thomas Kirkpatrick was a well known American jeweler known for retailing Patek Philippe watches at the turn of the 20th century. Watch winds, runs, and sets properly keeping accurate time. Case is gold color, of unknown metal. Dial is excellent, and protected by a glass crystal. While most of Patek Philippe’s Pocket Watches made before the 1870s were gilt finish, this one has NICKLE FINISH, and amazingly it comes with SOLID ROSE GOLD TRAIN WHEELS which is a feature that is exceedingly rare in Patek Philippe Watches. In addition, many of the top grade features that are rarely seen from this period are also available in this watch such as MUSTACHE LEVER, WOLF TEETH, and highly curved bridges. While the movement is unsigned it is undoubtedly 100% authentic and original Patek Philippe, with the case signed on the dustcover and inside the front cover with the Patek Philippe hallmark. Condition-wise the watch is running strong but has not been tested for accuracy so we do not guarantee its operation. Cosmetically the enamel dial has chip at the edge of the sub-seconds chapter’s 10sec position. All three hand appear to be original. The caseback has slight crease-dent near the pendant, case band has a slight crease and the edge of the front cover also has slight dents. Bow does not look original but it’s easily replaceable. It comes with both Archival Paperwork and Age-Matched Box. Total weight is 88 grams.
