This elegant wrist watch was converted from pocket watch. High quality gild and frosted. Movement made by Omega Watch Co. 15 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, which is loaded with GOLD screws, blued breguet hairspring, ruby jewel settings. And steel escape wheel. The plates are super clean and the have only the finest workmanship throughout. Working very well, overall condition is very clean. This beautiful watch has the original movement in excellent status. The watch has been very well preserved. Movement has been recently serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping great, accurate time. STRAP: Included, black with chromed metal buckle, 22 mm, genuine leather. Wonderful original enamel dial with arabic numerals. Five minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6. Many repairs will not be cheap, as most likely they will require replacement of non-standard parts (unlike most late model watches). If you must adjust counter-clockwise make it for small adjustments only i. For minutes, NOT hours. Be careful and gentle when adjusting the movement speed (faster or slower). Don’t make sharp movements, and don’t touch other components in the movement especially the pendulum mechanism. Every 2-3 years it is necessary to service and oil vintage watches. If the watch is dirty – allow the watch to run down, don’t wind it again until you have it serviced by a qualified watch repair expert. Dust will absorb and remove important lubricants and cause the movement pieces to wear down. To clean the case, dial and crystal you should use a cloth that does NOT leave fibers as these may get caught up in the movement. Check with your Watch repair expert to get an appropriate cloth. Keep your antiques watch away from magnets. Strong magnetic fields may affect the accuracy of your watch since some vintage watches were made with iron based components in the movement. Most Cases and Covers are fine components and will not handle abuse well. The watch should not be shaken, beaten, or stressed. THIS IS A WATCH OF BEAUTIFUL QUALITY. FULLY SERVICED BY MY WATCHMAKER. The stunning case to this beautiful OMEGA watch is solid 18 carat gold. IT IS A VERY GOOD QUALITY GOLD CASE. The case back has the most beautiful foliate and scrolling design which is crisp, showing no apparent wear. The cartouche is engraved with the words’May 1906′. I can see no dings to the eye. The back and front covers snap to very well. I have gently polished the case, and it is shining nicely, as only hi grade solid 18 carat gold can. The dust cover is gold metal and is in good condition showing some patina and light marks where it has been opened and NO dings. The inside of the case has the initials L. Which are for Louis Weill (Weill & Co) who was a London based German supplier of watches of high grade such as IWC, Longines, Omega etc. The chain ring is gold plated. THE WATCH MEASURES 3.2 CMS (32mm) IN DIAMETER. The DOUBLE CASE HINGES to the front rear show no signs of abuse. This gorgeous OMEGA watch has a fantastic original dial. It could be solid gold as some were but I have not had it tested. It is in good condition for its 100 years + age with patina in places. It is unsigned as you would expect. It has beautiful Roman black painted numerals, which are lovely and original showing a liitle wear to some numerals (see pics). The crystal is a new replacement and as such is in minty condition. The dial has MINT blued steel hands. This is a really fantastic original dial. This is a beautiful Swiss top quality original crown wind and pin set high quality JEWELED LEVER GENUINE OMEGA early movement with a compensated balance and lovely blued hairspring. It is clearly marked’OMEGA’ in a circle UNDER THE DIAL. It is also NUMBERED under the dial. The number is 2311562 which also dates this watch to circa 1906. The watch exudes quality so it is a high end product. The movement is running well and has just been FULLY SERVICED by my watchmaker. It is running well and has kept decent time as tested over the last 12 hours The watch winds smoothly and pin sets as it should.
