Strachan of Forfar Silver Pair Case Key Wind Fusee Antique Pocket Watch. This watch measures approximately 52.2 mm in diameter and 75 mm in total length including the bow. The original dial is in excellent condition – see photos. The pair case with silver hallmarks is in excellent condition with some normal wear; all covers open and close as they should with no prominent gaps – see photos. The fusee movement sets and winds smoothly. It is signed “JNO STRACHAN FORFAR 11833″ – see photos. The balance staff is intact, the balance swings freely, and it runs; over a 24-hour observation period, it ran and lost approximately 3 minutes/day. Runs and loses 3 minutes/day. Don’t have any knowledge with watches but there is a Problem with the crown when trying to wind or adjust time. Watch will run for a few minutes at most then stop. Crystal cracked as per 3rd photo. Engraved appears to be “LC”. Appears it could be original leather strap which one side has separated (needs restitching) as per last photograph.
