Pocket Watch Case

Cannot seem to get it to wind up. Some wear – “damage ” where someone prayed open the case multiple times.

This is an Aurora Watch Co. Hunter case pocket watch. The movement is 17 jewel. It is a size 18. It has a gold filled case. There is wear to the case. The Aurora Watch Co. Was only in business for a short time before being bought by Hamilton Watch Co.

Made in Canton, Ohio, USA. Case: Gold filed Hampden hunter style. Condition: clean condition and WORKING, glass cover/crystall is missing. This watch has been sitting in storage for the last 30 years in a well enclosed container. Results in its fine condition. This type of watch was usually bought as a gift for the ladies back in 1900s, with higher value based upon the intricate details of the gold filled cover. It’s quite amazing that you come across a piece of mechanical work that was made 121 years ago is still working.
