We offer for your consideration this antique watch case with Waltham watch works. This listing is primarily for the watch case. Be aware, the case is missing the Bezel and Crystal. This watch case was produced by Courvoisier & Wilcox MFG. This watch case maker was active in the U. From 1883 to 1905. This case carries a stamp the reads C. W. MFG. Co. ” over a pointed ellipse with “14K’ inside. ASSAY this stamp indicates that the case is made of 14K gold. This case weighs in total 15.57 grams. (this weight includes the stainless steel cover spring hardware and winding shaft). The case also has a small diamond mounted in the center of the back cover. This small diamond tests as genuine. The case is approximately 35 mm in diameter, and approximately 10 mm front to back. Please examine the pictures for condition. This case is a full hunter case with hinged front cover, hinged back and dust covers. The front cover spring is still very responsive. The case is in good condition showing only one obvious flaw, that being a small dimple dent located on the back cover just to the left and below the diamond. (See picture) there are no other issues. This case has been personalized, there are three initials “BEW” engraved on the front cover. This case carries an antique Waltham watch works. This watch works is quite beautiful and worthy of some restoration work. The dial does have two large hairline fractures(see picture) and it needs a replacement hour hand.
