Model 9, 21 jewels, Size 16. Stem wind and level set. Adjusted to 3 Positions &. Dial: White Porcelain, double sunken dial, a couple of hairlines at 4 o’clock, no chips. Crystal is in good condition. Case: open face case. The bow is nice and tight. The case shows pocket wear with many light scratches on back cover. Both front & back covers screw on and off easily with a good seal. Offered for sale is an antique Waltham Vanguard (USA) Model 1899 open-faced railroad grade pocket watch, circa 1903. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 52.5mm (2-1/8) diameter. This watch features a yellow gold filled screw-bezel swing out case, a 23-jewel adjusted stem-wind lever-set movement, and a double-sunk porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and blue steel spade hands. The case is in good condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry and some visible brassing on the case bottom. The dial is in good condition, showing a few minor hairline cracks and two chips near the 4 o’clock position. The movement runs and keeps excellent time.
