Waltham 16 size pocket watch from 1908. It has a custom made display back case. It runs good and keeps time to within a minute a day. A very nice Waltham. The dial is an off white with blue markers. This is not a factory made display case, it was made using a normal Philadelphia silverode case and the back was machined into a display back. 113 years old and it is holding up quite well. Rockford 16 size hunting cased pocket watch made in 1901. 20 year gold filled case with no worn through spots, not even on the stem. I looked up the mark and found it is from Parker Brothers and Rogers of Providence Rhode Island. The case has a beautiful design with a fishscale pattern on front and back. The sides have alternating coin edge design with some smooth sections and some patterned sections. The edges of the lids are concave, which is very unusual. The lid pops open with good spring action and goes to a little bit over 90 degrees. There are some minor dings and one crease style dent in the front cover. It was just serviced and keeps time to within a minute a day. The bezel and back screw on and off easily. This is not a factory made display case, it was made using an vintage original Philadelphia silverode case and the back has been replaced with another bezel. Both bezels screw down all the way with no gaps. This is not one of the new cases. This is from an era when things were really made to last.
