Condition-Not Running the Balance Wheel is Good though. There is dents on the inner and outer case. There is scratches and hazing on the crystal. It has some discoloration on the minute hand. This is an antique Elgin 10K solid gold pocket watch 15J with ornate full hunter case from 1903 in working condition. The white dial has Arabic numbers in blue enamel, plus a second hand and gold dots to mark the minutes. Very minor ding inside back cover, not visible on outside. The watch is in working condition and keeps good time, but it comes from an estate and probably has not been cleaned for a long time. There are no 10K marks, but the metal tests 10K. Cased is numbered 44401 and has a crown mark inside a rectangle which I have not been able to identify. Please ask any questions before purchasing. Up for sale is this amazing vintage. Vintage Silver Movado’Ermeto’ travelling watch in a sliding brown original crocodile case. The face is signed’Movado Chronometre Ermeto, Switzerland’. As the sliding covers are opened, a pinion on the winding stem is engaged. Which automatically turns the winding crown and winds the watch. An ingenious piece of horological engineering, each opening and closing of the case was designed to provide 4 hours of running time, therefore, the user was only required to open their watch 6 times a day to power it for 24 hours. The Ermeto was designed to be used with or without a chain and could simply be placed in a pocket or bag. The watch also has a small ring allowing it to be hooked on to a chain and carried as desired. Also on the back is swinging leg, so the watch can stand on it’s own.
