Bunn Special 21 Ruby Jewels Pocket Watch. This watch was Mfg in 1898 and still winds, runs and ticks well. It was a special “Fowler’s Idan Ha Special”. Adjusted 6 positions, with beautiful coin silver case and dust cover. It is Rail Road Grade. The movement is in Gothic Black Letter. This watch comes from a 50 yr collection of some of the finest watches to come up for sale. 16 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set 993 “Special” pocket watch. A rare and very beautiful watch with movement featuring a spectacular 2-tone gold and nickel damaskeen finish and with “Special” marked to its barrel bridge. Watch is fronted by a double-sunk enamel dial with script signature and is housed in a 20 year gold-filled Fahys Montauk hunting case with attractive striped pattern engraving to its front and rear. Movement serial number is 743307. Running though started somewhat sluggishly and I think likely hasn’t seen a cleaning and oiling in quite some time. Movement is beautiful overall with a superb 2-tone color. Regulator spring has some oxide, and barrel bridge has a scratch at its perimeter below the serial number. Dial is beautiful with just a very faint outer chapter hairline at 54 minutes. Case is very attractive overall with excellent engraving detail. Case front opens a small bit wide of 90 degrees (to approximately 100 degrees), and case band has dings around the 10 O’clock area. Glass crystal has some glue excess around its seat. Its a 17 jewel movement, 18SZ Runs good , Keeps perfect time , Has been Serviced, cleaned and oiled. The #s on the movement are, 16551952, made in 1911. This is a big watch, it measures from side to side 54.7 mm. The doubble sunk dial is clean with a hairline by the 9, you can see in the pictures. The case looks good, has a few small dents and dings , which is normal for its age. The glass on one side is new, the other side has a few light scratches. Its a Lever set and stem wind, in a display case, this is a 110 year old watch looking good and running good. Up for sale is this nice 14k gold size 18 Waltham pocket watch with hunter case. The watch is working and in overall excellent condition. There is one small hairline on the face from the 27 minute mark to the edge of the second hand dial as seen in the photo. The watch is a model 1892 Vanguard with 21 jewels and is a lever set. The serial number is 11026353. The watch weighs approximately 127 grams. There is a small monogram in the center of the watch which appears to be “JS” but it’s hard to tell, please refer to the photo.
