The beautifully engraved movement signed “Thomas Harrison & Son Liverpool” shines like new and bears the serial number 1024. All covers close with a tight fit as it should. Enamel dial is in perfect condition with a very tiny hairline at 8 O’clock. Glass old stock very high domed in very good condition! Both case have English hallmarks for London 1800. Here I have a 1921 Illinois Bunn Special size 16s open face, stem wind and lever set with beautiful blue hands. Solid gold train, adjusted to 6 positions. I think the Bunn Special is one of the nicest looking and highest quality movements of most RR grade watches. The “Ray” damaskeening is in great condition. The movement is also in mint condition. It was cleaned and serviced within 6 months so it’s ready to carry. I have adjusted the accuracy and it’s running within a few seconds off in 24 hours. The case is an Illinois Bunn Special Wadsworth 14k WGF case. Both the front and back screw onto the case without any problems. This case is also in mint condition with just a little light scratching on the polished back. There’s a small amount of brassing (pictured) on the back right where the back screws to the main case. It is only on the one side. That’s all I can see? The bow is a bit loose but it will stand up by itself. It’s just not very stiff. The crystal is a new bulls eye crystal. Although it is running it has not been timed for accuracy. The 20 year old gold filled case is in great shape with some faint scratches from normal use, and both covers screw on tight. The dial is in mint condition with no hairlines or cracks, and the movement is clean with not dirt or rust that I can see. The bow is tight, and it winds and sets as it should with no friction or grinding. The domed acrylic crystal has some scratches, and is clear with no yellowing. The hands are rust free. In my nearly 30 years of watch collecting I have only seen a few pocket watches as nice as this one. This is a Waltham 6 Size Hunter’s Case pocket watch in a stellar multi-colored gold case. Measures 41.6 mm wide not including the bow and crown. This Waltham watch dates back to 1891 and the workmanship on this antique timepiece is hard to duplicate today. Image someone making a watch case as pretty as this one today!! It would cost a fortune. This watch has a diamond back cover and a solid front cover with green, yellow and pink gold on both sides. The dial and movement are by Waltham. The movement is a model 1890 11 jewel 6 size stem wound and stem setThis watch is trying to run and will need a clean and oil service to be a good runner again. The SIGNED dial is nice with only a little dirt on the white dial that should clean off eeasily. The crystal is good. It would be a sin. The watch weighs just over 38 pennyweight.
