Turn of The Century Quarter Hour Repeater Pocket Watch, 17j, Stem Wind, Nail Set, Ca. Nice Porcelain Dial with Black Arabic Numerals. Case diameter without crown, approximately 54mm. Keeps time within approximately 2 minutes/day. Gun metal Case with Gilding and some discoloration and pitting to case back. Case marked Acier Garanti. This was done when gilding was the craze and the French were Zealots among peers. They Gilded everything–furniture, lamps, pottery–everything but running chickens. So someone gilded the watch case–you, know, it’s kind of interesting! Condition: Pictures show condition, more pictures upon request. Minor signs of wear and age overall.
