For sale is this 177? . Antique Sterling Silver Tho’s Ponier? St Albans, Verge Fusee Pocket Watch with pair case and tin outer case, some tethering and papers with prior owners name, date of death (John Buttler July 9th 1795). This watch is in need of repair the chain is off but looks whole and fixable. This has been in a safe for over 80yrs. Possibly come from New England area (ny, mass, conn). Stamp marks put this to be about 1768/1778. Comes with chain & key. It is missing the top loop, has homemade ring & wire to hold chain on. I think over all in good to great shape. You will see in pictures the outer tin case & papers that will come with.. I was told this could have been a naval persons watch because of the tin outer case?
