The dial is approximately 42mm in diameter. Condition : This watch is in very fine estate condition with minor scuffs and scratches to the metal. From a watch collector’s estate; an antique ELGIN 14K Solid Gold hunter case ladies pocket watch; presented in an antique green. Crushed velvet box and signed on the dial and box, F. DE FERRARI & CO. 217-219 MONTGOMERY AVE, SAN FRANCISCO, CAL. The watch is NOT RUNNING – FOR REPAIR; the balance appears good, but it does NOT swing freely in both directions, only in one direction. The mainspring is fully wound. Please note that the hands are set by pushing DOWNWARD on the crown. The detailed engraving on the outer case, with a bird, flowers and unsigned cartouche is AMAZING! Has obviously spent most of its life in its original box! The case is stamped 14K. On the inside of the two rear. The only flaws that I see are some very small dings/ dents to the inside of the two outer covers; presumed. That some are from the engraving process.
