These charges are the buyers responsibility. General Description : What is being offered for sale is a rare split-second chronograph pocket watch by the Timing and Repeating Watch Co. The serial number is 29722. The watch was most likely made during the late 1800s. See the photo gallery for details and condition. The watch is complete, but not fully functional (see Operational section). The movement appears to be all original. The movement/case combination is very likely original. The diameter of the case is 2-1/16. Casemaker : The maker of the case is the Crescent Watch Case Co. The case is unquestionably high-quality gold filled. Monogram : The case has no monogram or personal inscription. Thus, it can be used for a presentation piece. Case Condition : There are no dings or dents or significant scratches see photos. The case hinges are not damaged and they are in good working order. Dial/Hands : The enamel dial is perfect. The hands are high-quality and perfect. Both the dial and hands are very likely original. Operational : I dont know when the watch was last cleaned and lubricated, but as is, it is not ticking due to a broken mainspring. The movement ticks nicely and the balance has a good motion in all positions and is true in both the round and the flat when the mainspring is partially wound. The chronograph mechanism works when the watch is ticking, but is a little sluggish. The location of the hands during fly-back needs to be adjusted. It would appear that after the mainspring is repaired/replaced and the movement is cleaned and lubricated, the watch should be a fine timekeeper and chronograph. Winding/Setting : The stem-winding and lever-setting mechanisms are nice and smooth; but, as previously stated, the mainspring is broken. It is important to me that every customer is 100% satisfied.
