Antique Waltham 14K Gold Box Hinge Double Hunter Case Pocket Watch. Both sides of this size 6, WM Ellery grade Waltham watch are engraved in an Eastlake style, one side with a six-point cartouche containing a rustic frame with flowers around a building with tower and a border of acorns and oak leaves, and the other with a matching vignette but an empty frame waiting for a monogram. There is a dedication reading F. Mamie” on the inner of two back covers, “14K marks in two places and the watch is in excellent physical condition with a missing second hand. The various parts all test positive for 14K gold and the watch measures 2 7/16 x 1 5/8-inches overall and weighs 62.2 grams. Proud Member of the Vintage Fashion Guild. Recently scrupulously serviced and working very well and keeping time in all positions to within + or – 15 seconds per day. Very nice looking movement with minimal scratches. Dial has damage especially near 11 with a small flake at the center and a tiny one near 7. Chrome plated case with a good plastic crystal. The free listing tool. Working well and keeping time in all positions. Great dial with no hairlines or chips. There is aa tiny scratch in the seconds bit. It is tough to spot it even under magnification. The case shows brass mostly along the band and a bit on the pendant. The lids show alomost no brass but for silvers at the hinges and where the bow has rested against the back lid. There is a dent in thed band near the pendant. It is visible in a photo. The bow is solid 10k gold original Ball patent stirrup. Good firm hinges and closures. Matching plum colored hands. I do not know when this was last cleaned and oiled. The movement is nice with a few of the usual small scratches and other marks from servicing. The free listing tool.
