In this listing we are happy to present this truly wonderful Swiss (Unmarked) Platinum High Grade Ultra Thin Pocket Watch with diamonds fully adorning the case and bow. Most likely this watch was made by Henry Capt or Haas Neveux. In the 1910s, ther were very few watch movement manufacturers that were capable of making high grade ultra thin movements and Henry Capt or Haas Neveus were two of the best. With the case and crystal intact this watch is slightly under 6cm in terms of thickness. As can be seen from the quality of the movement with extra fine winding wheels, capped escapement, large ruby jewels etc. This was a very expensive watch over 100 years ago with a diamond-encrusted platinum case. The platinum case has PUR wording which means pure, thus the case has more than 90% platinum and probably more in the 95% purity range. To put luxury over-the-top, the entire case band and bow (also hallmarked platinum) has been fully encrusted with old mine cut diamonds. Condition-wise the watch runs well but we cannot guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity as we don’t know its service history. Antique pocket watches like this specimen will likely need full service to run normally, it is the sole decision and responsibility of end-user to service or not.
