Stunning 1920s Art Deco ABRA Swiss Pocket Watch – Working Condition This is a beautiful example of a 1920s Swiss-made pocket watch by the Abra Watch Co. Movement Details: Features a clean, 16-jewel mechanical movement adjusted to 2 positions for better accuracy. It is Swiss-made and currently runs and ticks well. Case Details: The watch is housed in a “Supreme” open-face case by the I. The case features intricate Art Deco engravings along the bezel and a classic geometric pattern on the back. Dial & Hands: Ornate silver-tone dial with a textured center, bold Arabic numerals, and a sub-seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The “cathedral” style hands are original and intact. Note: The dial shows a light, authentic patina consistent with its 100-year history. Highlight the “16 Jewels”:Most standard Swiss imports of this era were 7 or 15 jewels; the 16th jewel makes this slightly more desirable to collectors.

This is a great entry-level or everyday use watch. It weighs 109 grams. The unmonogrammed gold-plated case is in very good condition with some light superficial scratches on the front and back case. The front case also has a small convex dent near the crown and the back case has a small superficial near the base. The latch and lid springs work well and the front/back and dust covers close firmly and stay shut. The front cover opens to past 90 degrees without “wobbling”. The bow is firmly set and remains in place when moved. The 7-jewel movement works; however, its accuracy at keeping time has not been checked. It also sets easily and winds smoothly, but is a bit tight. The white dial is clean without cracks or blemishes, and has black hour, minute and second hands. The glass crystal is clear without scratches. Check out my other auctions. I never intentionally sell an item that is flawed, unless it is specified in the description or picture.
