This is an excellent Hamilton 16 size 21 jewel adjusted 992B pocket watch in a Wadsworth 10k gold filled case out of an estate! The lever-set movement is marked: Hamilton Watch Co. 992B 21 Jewels Adj. And 6 Positions C459764. As of listing it, the watch is running, and smooth to wind/set. We do not know the service history and recommend it be serviced. The dial is marked Hamilton Railway Special. The dial is in good condition, other than a small ding on the edge between 4 and 5 o’clock. The original glass crystal has some light scratches, but is in great overall condition – see photos. The case is in great condition, showing only light scratches. Inside the case back is marked: Wadsworth 10K Gold Filled PAT. This is an incredible find for a collector out of an estate! Offered is a very nice high grade Elgin pocket watch. The Philadelphia 20 year gold filled case is in great condition with no brass showing and tight hinges. The front cover hinge may be a little too tight, as the lift spring will not open it. Fancy numerals and original gold hands. Movement runs with good motion. Watch gives the appearance of not having been cleaned in a long time, dirt on dial, crystal, and case. The crown sometimes needs to be depressed slightly to engage the winding clutch, mentioned for accuracy. Overall a very nice old watch.
