Because the swiss works are built so well, a piece like this is able to exist for many decades in different incarnations and keep it’s usefulness. The watch runs very well and keeps excellent time. When it winds down and stops you simply wind it several times and gently shake a couple of seconds and it will start the sweeping second hand prominently displayed on the face. To set the time press the small button and hold it down while turning the larger winding knob clockwise to desired time. DO NOT OVER WIND! It is one of the worst things you can do to a vintage time piece. Also not water resistant. Must not be worn in shower or when swimming! The face appears to be original. It does have a few hairline cracks but is otherwise complete and decent. A very fine swiss mechanical watch from a legendary maker.
